Assistant Accountant

We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our growing team. Reporting to the Head of Operations, this is a fantastic opportunity to support the business leaders with the accounting activities for their clients. Full time role is for 32 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring that each client is receiving the best standard of service possible
• Bank reconciliations
• Reconciliation of balance sheet control accounts
• Updating and maintaining fixed asset registers
• Supporting Management Accountants with preparation of monthly accounts and other ad-hoc client requests
• Maintaining your own email inbox and any of your client inboxes- responses to be made by end of the day
• Communicating with team on cover needed when annual leave is taken or you are off sick

Your Profile

• Proven track record in an Assistant Accountant role
• A good level of IT literacy, with the ability to pick up new systems quickly
• Intermediate Excel skills
• A confident communicator with both clients and colleagues
• Strong customer service focus with the ability to maintain client relationships
• Ability to problem solve, highlight issues, and find solutions
• A self-starter that can work autonomously
• Good attention to detail, organisation and planning skills
• A collaborative team player
• ACCA/CIMA part-qualified or qualified by experience
